Bands – Quantitative Research
There are many types of music: rock, pop, classical, country… and there are many bands that perform each type of music. Usually people have different tastes about music and bands.
The first task that you should do today is a research about what types of music and what bands are more popular between the teenagers. You have two ways to do this:
- Make a short interview to your classmates. If you want good results in your research, it is interesting that you make many interviews with the corrects questions. How many interviews are necessary to obtain good conclusions?
- Use technologic resources as the Internet. Web pages are a good resource to find interesting information but is not the only one. When you are surfing information is advisable that you use more than one source (internet, interwiews, books, articles…)
You must publish your results and conclusions as a new post on your web page. Language of the post must be English.
Case Study
A case study involves an up-close, in-depth, and detailed examination of a subject (the case), as well as its related contextual conditions. Case studies appear with great frequency throughout popular works. In this task, you’ll do a case study and the object of the study (the case) will be your partner or partners.
With this case study we want to evaluate the general knowledge and the English level of teenagers. You must do to your partner two tests (one for the general knowledge and one for the English level). Go to the page http://www.hacertest.com/cultura/general/

You must do a post with the following points:
- Introduction and a short explanation of your case study (remeber that you can explain what are the main characteristics of the subject that you use for the study).
- Put some questions of both tests (general knowledge and English level). These are a sample of the questions that the subject must answer.
- Write the results of the test (write the type of tests).
- Write your conclusions (please insert some graphic with your conclusions, is interesting to understand your results).
Remember that you must write your post in English.
Projecte d’investigació interdisciplinar
Aquest curs, a primer de batxillerat, ens hem posat l’objectiu de realitzar una sèrie de projectes interdisciplinars. Per aquest motiu, i dintre de l’àmbit de la investigació, plantejem fer una sèrie d’activitats que estàn relacionades amb altres matèries.
La finalitat d’aquesta tasca és realitzar una investigació sobre un determinat tema (que a continuació detallarem) mitjançant la recerca i posteriorment afegir a aquesta investigació la bibliografia BEN REDACTADA, DE TOTS ELS LLOCS on hem cercat informació.
Com que cadascun de vosaltres realitza assignatures diferents, us detallem a continuació què feina heu de fer i de quina matèria:
Alumnes de Tecnologia Industrial I
La primera part del vostre projecte consisteix en realitzar una recerca sobre Materials. Podeu utilitzar com a guia el següent índex:
- Materials. Introducció, classificació principal i propietats.
- Metalls. Origen i classificació. Metalls fèrric i metalls no fèrrics. Aplicacions dins el món industrial.
- Materials de contrucció. Ceràmiques, ciments, vidres i fustes. Aplicacions dins el món industrial i dins la construcció.
- Altres materials. Plàstics i el seu ús dins l”ambit industrial.
- Materials d’última generació.
Alumnes de Tecnologies de la Informació i la Comunicació
La primera part del vostre projecte consisteix en realitzar una recerca sobre Llenguatges de Programació que s’utilitzan per al desenvolupament d’aplicacions per a dispositius mòbils. Podeu utilitzar el següent guió:
- Què és un dispositiu mòbil? Classificació i evolució al llarg del temps.
- Aplicacions per a dispositius mòbils. Què són? Classificació segons el seu ús o la seva utilitat principal.
- Sistemes operatius per a dispositius mòbils. Diferències respecte el sistema operatiu d’un ordinador.
- Llenguatges de programació per a dispositius mòbils. Història dels diferents llenguatges de programació tenint present la classificació i evolució històrica dels mateixos.
- Altres eines per a la creació d’aplicacions per a mòbils. La creació de apps a l’abast de tothom.
Alumnes de Biologia
La primera part del vostre projecte d’investigació consisteix en realitzar una recerca sobre els avanços de la medicina amb el càncer de mama. Podeu seguir següent índex com a guia per al vostre treball:
- Enfermetats autoinmunes. ¿Per què el nostre cos es revela?
- El càncer. ¿Què és?
- Classificació dels diferents tipus de càncer i la seva perillositat tenint present la tasa de mortalitat associada a cada tipus de càncer.
- El càncer de mama. Causes.
- Prevenció i/o tractament del càncer de mama. Cirurgia i quimioprevenció.
- Avanços mèdics per la prevenció i/o curació del càncer de mama.
INSTRUCCIONS PER A REDACTAR LA BIBLIOGRAFIA
Tots els alumnes han de redactar una bibliografia on hi constin totes les referències consultades. Aquestes han d’estar redactades seguit la normativa vigent al respecte i que podeu trobar clicant aquí.
INSTRUCCIONS PER A LA REDACCIÓ DEL TREBALL
- El treball tindrà una llargada de 10 pàgines aproximadament, sense incloure la bibliografia,
- El treball ha de seguir la guia d’estil dels treballs que realitzeu habitualment (consulteu al professor).
